During and After

Not my most flattering photos, but it was a memory I wanted to document and share.
The photo on the left shows the pain of me in labor, the middle photo peeking in on my daughter, and thirdly enjoying that after meal(labor can make even hospital food taste so good!)
I'm so proud of my husband for taking these shots many years ago- before I was a scrapbooker! Love that I can document myself once in awhile!
As always, I appreciate you stopping by! I'd also appreciate any feedback or comments and would love any new friends becoming followers!

Social [Media] Blog Hop- Carve it up

Hi everyone! You have reached the last, but not least, stop on the Social [Media] Blog hop!
Every month on the 29th I try to join in with this talented group of ladies to show off our work based on the theme of the month.
This month our theme is:
Carve It Up--- using our Silhouettes, Cricuts, fussy-cutting, punching, exact-o knife--
our designs will all have a unique cut up piece to it!

Comment on any of the blogs (you can find them all at the link below) or link up with a Carve It Up themed layout below to win a $10 Silhouette Studios gift card :]

My layout features my daughter, at the age of 1, surrounded by this fun fussy-cut honeycomb paper. I chose to layer it on top of this busy black patterned paper to give it and my photos that extra pop!
This layout was made with supplies from the Artful Delight kit

I am thankful for family

Hello! I am still here! Just been super busy- and exhausted by the end of the day! I've managed to create several new layouts in the past weeks and look forward to sharing them!

The layout below was lifted from a design by May Flaum.
I always enjoy her nice simple style and inspiration.

This layout features my husband and kids with his brother and sisterinlaw. We always enjoyed our visits with them in San Diego and though the photo is poor I'm a big believer in documenting what you have so.. here it is.  Thanks for looking!

Oh no I caught you sweetheart

This is a layout about one of those everyday moments that I'm so glad I captured!
I had just finished folding laundry and left a few piles on the edge. My darling daughter felt that the clothes would be fun to play with! Here's what I saw when I came back into the room!
At 17, she still enjoys a nice messy floor of clothes! LOL!

Your first day

Your first day features me and my daughter on her first day home after birth. So sweet and small on mom's lap. I chose to go simple with cutting out some simple lace doilys, a strip of polka dots and butterflies to highlight the page.

Oh baby- 100th post!

My 100th post !
I had just opened a box of new goodies and just had to blend them all together to create this page!
You'll see my baby front and center there snuggled in all small in her car seat!
I hope you enjoy the fun mix of colors and those pops of yellow!
As always, I appreciate you coming by! I look forward to your comments and feedback and welcome any new friends to become followers!

Meeting great grandma

I'm back! I headed off on vacation for a week to Sunny San Diego! We had a good time and I even brought my scrap supplies and got several pages done while relaxing in the beautiful weather!

This page features my husbands grandmother meeting her great grandaughter, Abriana, for the first time. It's a cute picture and glad I captured this memory to capture this difference in generations.

I used a mixture of creams and white along with the red/blue and it brought back a conversation I had with a friend recently about how she never mixes the the two.
She just doesn't like the look- for her.
I agreed with her, but immediately found that I was already mixing the two on several pages. Mentally I guess I don't like the thought of it, but artistically and subconsciously it works for me!
Go figure!
