Waiting for the Rainbow

A few years back we were in Flagstaff for football camp and
it rained like crazy!
Rain or Shine we are always there to watch.
We waited for that rainbow knowing it would bring a little stop to the rain!

1st Xmas

Before I was a scrapbooker, I didn't take many photos.
These photos aren't the greatest but I am happy they were captured!
These three photos document my daughter's first Christmas in 1995.
I used a kit from Frosted Designs for this page!

Gettin' where you're gettin' to

One of the challenges, from a valentines crop,
was to take a quote from a song by Rascal Flatts and use it on your page.
I chose the quote below and paired it with my son running the last leg in his race.
He hates the way he looks in the picture-
but I like that you can see that final push, he's giving to get across the line.

Family Ties

Here is my layout based on Shimelle Laine's most recent class- Return to the Collection.
It features my husband and his family posing for his sister's wedding photos.
I chose to use the Studio Calico- Printshop pp line.

Happy Day

A quick layout from the other day.
I wanted to work with this old photo of my daughter and my sister.
I used a mishmash of pennants, frames, etc. to snuggle the photo in,
just like the two in the photo are. This highlights my sister's favorite pose in a photo- sticking the tongue out.

So... I like Mars Attacks

My daughter, when she was 2, was obsessed with this movie called "Mars Attacks."
I chose a mix of flowers and space to highlight these photos with the movie on in the background!

Best Gift

I chose to use the Pebbles scraps I had from the previous layout on my blog,
to create this one! It shows the emotion my daughter had to receiving the "best gift" ever,
An autographed picture of Darren Criss from Glee.

Birthday Gifts

Time to scrap some photos of my daughter's 16th birthday a few years back!
took a sketch from the My Scraps and More sketch blog
and some pretty papers from Pebbles
and used them to highlight these fun photos!

For Like Ever

The final challenge that I did at myscrapsandmore for the 12 days of Christmas crop,
(as I ran out of time for the last two) was to scrap a photo of my family and include a heart.
I've been loving the Printshop line from American crafts and felt it fit perfectly for this photo
highlighting me and the woman in my family!

U Surprise Me

The next challenge that I did at myscrapsandmore was a challenge to use a card.
I had wanted to use this fun  American Crafts Printshop paper and the
Glitz wavy card worked perfectly for it.
The layout features my normally very serious daughter who suddenly
burst out hulahooping in the middle of the sports store. LOL!

Do you know, I love you so?

The next challenge I did at myscrapsandmore was a layout that that had to feature
me and loved ones in my life. I chose this older photo of me, my husband and son
as we waited for the train for Polar Express to come along.
My son was totally sick that day, but trooped it out to get to meet Santa!

Baptism

This My scraps and more challenge was to use at least 8 circles on your layout.
I chose to throw on many circles including buttons, pp circles, bling,
and even a few crochet ones into the mix.
The photos feature my daughters baptism, when she was just 3 months old.

Dad

The next challenge for the 12 days of Christmas crop at My scraps and more
was to use a holiday piece of paper for something other than holiday.
I chose the Allison Kreft "Reindeer Flight" paper to highlight this photo of my dad
from many years ago. We were in Flagstaff taking a hike and I caught this nice photo of him

Laughing at the things you do

Layout # 5 for the My scraps and more
12 days of Christmas challenge that ended yesterday.
The challenge was to take a word or words from the song "Jingle Bells"
and use it in our layout
I chose the word "laughing" as it complemented this picture of my son
with a pullup on his head quite well!

We are fun

My 4th layout for the My scraps and more 12 days of Christmas Challenge
was to lift from the posted layout that was pinned from Pinterest.
This layout features a drawing that my daughter did of me and my family a few years back.
To this day it hangs on my fridge and we have a "pig" magnet that we all
continuously move back and forth over each others faces.
I wanted to document this fun thing we do in our family!

Showing your Fandom

A very busy page- but I am still working on the 12 days of Christmas challenges
(12 great prizes up for grabs! due 1/5/14)
over at My scraps at more
This pages features my daughter showing off the Harry Potter Premiere shirt that she made.
She gets very big into her Fandom and always goes all out to support the things she cares about.
Love her for that!

As you can tell- I used lots of stars, clocks and eyeglasses to help get that HP feel for this one!
Thanks for looking!
