Lifts 3/15, 3/16, and 3/17 and Jinger Adams- Design Team Call

Hello everyone! It's been a long week here in the Flores household- I've managed to complete a few layouts this week though! I'm still plugging away at the month long lift challenge I've been participating in and I am happy to annouce that there is  a Design Team call at Jingeradams !

I am excited to see what new products she has to show the world and I am happy to apply for a chance at the Design Team! My final layout on this post is for my submission but feel free to browse at the rest!

First I am starting with the 3/15  inspiration layout  by Patti McCarthy

and here is my 3/15 interpretation- featuring Root Beer Floats- our favorite summertime treat!
I used a mixture of old KI paper(red floral)
some even older Imagination Express( grid paper)
and threw in some Bo bunny(circles) and a few scrap papers from my stash for good measure!

Next is the 3/17 inspiration layout that was borrowed from the October Afternoon website:

And my interpretation featuring resting teenagers!

On this layout I used a different blend of pattern papers- the plaid is from the Oxford collection by Basic Grey and the doily/print pattern is by Pink Paislee from the Butterfly Garden line. I really like how they match but yet they don't. All in all after adding some twine, buttons, and two butterflys I feel it all works!

and lastly The 3/16 layout inspiration was by Megan Klauer

and my interpretation is of again my kids,
but this time they are delivering Christmas Angel gifts to the church.

On this layout I used some fun American Craft Thicker Alphabets and some holiday embellishments from Marcel Schurman that I picked up a few years back from Borders. I threw on some bling to fancy them up and used a mixture of 6 pattern papers that I received in a goody bag from a crop. They are a mixture of Bo-bunny the Whoo-ligans line(I used the flip side) and Pebbles Inc. Skipping Along

Wish me luck as this last layout is my submission for the DT call at  jingeradams Good luck to all that are submitting and thanks for stopping by today!

Homecoming Games

No not Hunger Games- LOL! But Homecoming Games! My latest lift for the lift challenge at myscrapsandmore.

I'm at lift 3/14- Here is the layout I was to lift from Carol Monson
and here in my interpretation- featuring my daughter and her friends cheering on their sophomore class during the lunchtime homecoming events.

I used some fun bright paper from A2Z(an oldie but a goodie) and threw in some fun pennant and banner embellishments. Thanks for looking!

Simple as that!

I am still continuing on with the lift challege at myscrapsandmore. I'm behind but still plugging away! I have two layouts to share today and it occured to me that maybe I should share the layout I am lifting from.

Lift 3/12 was lifted from Marnie Flores
and here is my interpretation highlighting my daughter and her best friend:

I decided to take the easy way out and instead of cutting out all those squares I used the below shown paper and made sure that I cut strips that included all of the distinct patterns on it. and Voila the square look without all the work!

Basic Grey-Out of Print

Lift 3/13 was much more difficult for me. The challenge was to lift something from each of the two layouts below and make our own layout out of it. The two things I chose were the only two things that just spoke to me at the time. Here are the two that were given:

By Keren and Steffanie from the Scrap Fit DT
and
here is my interpretation featuring photos of me, my husband and my daughter toughing out the downpour at my son's first football game for the season:

I only loosely filled the requirments by stealing the two photo idea from the first layout and the writing directly on the paper idea from the other. It wasn't really much of a lift other than that- but hey it's done!
Thanks for looking at both layouts!

Let's lift it 3/9 and 3/10

Two more layouts to show off for today! The top layout is my lift for 3/10. The layout I was to lift from was from a member of the boards at myscrapsandmore. Her name is Tracy. I wanted to document a few of the signs we always see in Ocean Beach. When I see them I feel awesome inside, knowing I'm near the beach!

The second layout is my lift for 3/9 lifted from a layout from Lisa Storms. A picture of me and my son posing at the beach. I used some old school stickers of Heidi Swapp(the beach florals) and I think they wen perfectly! Thanks for looking!

It's all about food!

My two latest layouts for the "lift it" challenge at myscrapsandmore for some reason both deal with some San Diego food! The above layout is for the 3/7 lift from DT member Janelle. I wanted to use this pier type paper and felt it went well with the fish and chips theme.

My second layout is for the 3/8 lift based on the layout by Helen Croft. I had this record paper from Hambly that I felt went with the cool surfer/vintage vibe of one of our favorites in Ocean Beach Hodads. Can't beat those frings and shakes! Yum, take me back now! Thanks for looking!

Let's lift it 3/6

Here's my lift for the 3/6 challenge over at my scraps and more

This picture is of my two teens posing for quick pic for mom! We were visiting San Diego at the time!

The page we had to lift was a layout from Erin over at the Scrappin Sisters blog.
I'm normally not a tearer of paper- but I liked the look on this one and will definately be using the tearing technique more often! Thanks for looking!
