8th grade

Here is my second layout for the Shimelle Inspired Kit Challenge that I am participating in. I'm actually really enjoying it- it's quite liberating to know you only have a certain set of items to use and it certainly has helped me to scrap quicker!

This layout is of my son on the 1st day of 8th grade!
Without many embellishments I have to do what I can to draw the eye into the photos in other ways. I used the back side of the floral paper and stamped the star to draw your eye up to the top where my son's face was and cut up a journal sticker and threw the brads on them to lead your eye into the second photo. The pop of color at the bottom is a small strip of the floral I had left over- it was perfect to add that little something yet you couldn't tell it was girly!
As always thanks for stopping by! I appreciate you visiting and if you like what you see- I'd appreciate any new followers!
Have a great Tuesday!

  3. Seriously the brads on the label sticker are awesome! They make it seem like arrows of where to look.

  4. This is a great layout. Handsome young man you have there.
I agree sometimes working with a limited supply is a bit easier to create with. Not as overwhelming.
